8 people killed, wounded in bomb blast southwest of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad -A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast southwest of Baghdad.
The source said in a brief statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded near shops in Swaib area southwest of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding seven others.”
The source, who requested anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while cordoned off the area of the incident and barred approaching it.”
