8 security elements killed, wounded by suicide attack north of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source within the police force said on Saturday, that a policeman was killed and seven others were injured in a suicide attack on a security post north of Baghdad.
The source told IraqiNews.com, “A suicide attack that targeted a security post belonging to the army in the area of al-Abaiygy in the district of al-Tarmiyah, resulted in the killing of one policeman and injuring three others as well as four soldiers, in addition to damaging two vehicles.”
The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Security forces cordoned off the area, and ambulances rushed the injured to a nearby hospital and the body of the dead to the forensic medicine department.”
