Abadi appoints Brigadier General Mahmoud al-Filahi Commander of Army’s 10th Division

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Prime Minister and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi issued an order on Saturday to appoint Brigadier General Mahmoud al-Filahi as the commander of the 10th Division.
An informed source stated in an interview for iraqiNews.com, “The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Haider Abadi has appointed Brigadier General Mahmoud al-Filahi as the commander of the 10th Division.”
It is noteworthy that the 10th Division former commander Brigadier General Safin Abdulmajid was martyred on Thursday (27 August 2015) in the explosion of a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber north of the city of Ramadi.
