(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Wednesday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi warned against escalating the sectarian strife that the enemy is trying to ignite and emphasized his commitment to maintain the safety of the unarmed civilians, while pointed out that al-Hashed al-Shaabi militia is one of the state’s institutions that is financed by the government.

The Information Office of Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Haider al-Abadi met with the Ambassadors of Muslim countries to Iraq to inform them about the latest developments of the battles against the ISIS terrorist gangs which were carried out to free Iraqi territory.”

Abadi added, “Terrorism is not only threatening Iraq but also the countries around the world,” indicating that, “A notable progress was witnessed during the liberation operations of the city of Fallujah which was controlled by ISIS six months before occupying Mosul.

“We are keen to keep the safety of civilians, as well as providing them with safe havens,” Abadi continued.
