(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed the fight against “terrorism” and border security, as well as training and arming Iraqi forces.

Prime minister’s media office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi met today with Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg and his accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations meeting.”

The statement added, “The two sides discussed strengthening the security and intelligence cooperation, anti-terrorism and border security as well as training and equipping Iraqi forces and the defensive capabilities between Iraq and NATO.”

The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived on Monday (28 September 2015) in New York to participate in the meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
