(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The leadership of al-Hashd al-Shaabi in Anbar Province announced on Saturday the killing of the senior ISIS leader Shaker Wahib, along with four of his companions, by a coalition airstrike in al-Rutba District west of Anbar.

The spokesman for al-Hashd al-Shaabi militia, Essam al-Din, said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The international coalition, based on intelligence information, carried out an air strike that targeted an ISIS gathering in central al-Rutba District, resulting in the death of the ISIS prominent leader Shaker Wahib al-Fahdawi, along with four of his companions.”

Essam al-Din added, “The air strike resulted also in the destruction of three vehicles carrying large quantities of weapons and rockets.”

Noteworthy, it is the eighth time to announce the killing of al-Fahdawi, while ISIS had published in March, 2014, photos belonging to the leader who was claimed to be killed by the security forces.
