American weapons distributed to 500 tribal fighters in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The governor of Anbar Suhaib al-Rawi announced on Thursday the distribution of American weapons among 500 tribal fighters in Habbaniyah base.

Rawi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “the local government in Anbar province has set up a ceremony for the distribution of a variety of American weapons among 500 fighters from the families of the province in the presence of a delegation from the central government and the international coalition.”

Rawi added, “The fighters, who received the weapons, had finished military training at the hands of the international coalition.”
