 Anbar Operations announces cleansing 34 booby-trapped houses in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The commander of Anbar Operations Command, Maj. Gen. Ismail al-Mahalawi, announced on Wednesday cleansing 34 booby-trapped houses in different areas of the province.

Mahalawi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A force from the engineering force of the [army’s] Tenth Division had managed to cleanse 12 booby trapped houses on the international highway road in the area of al-Hamediyah east of Ramadi,” pointing out that, “[Another] force from the engineering force of the Sixteenth Division managed to cleanse 12 booby-trapped houses in the city of Heet (70 km west of Ramadi).”

The source added, “A [security] force from the Third Regiment of the [army’s] Sixteenth Division was also able to cleanse 10 booby-trapped houses northeast of the city of Heet.”
