 Anbar Operations forces repulse ISIS attack in southern Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The commander of Anbar Operations Major General Ismail al-Mahalawi announced on Wednesday, that the security forces repulsed an attack carried out by the so-called ISIS on Albu Daeij area in southern Fallujah.

Mahalawi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today, ISIS launched an attack using booby-trapped vehicles and weapons on the army’s 8th brigade that were stationed in Albu Daeij area north of Amiriyah Fallujah.”

Mahalawi added, “The security forces managed to kill dozens of ISIS members, while the Iraqi Army Aviation bombarded three booby-trapped vehicles driven by suicide bombers,” pointing out that, “Albu Daeij area is now under the control of the security forces.”
