Army forces foil ISIS attack on Police Headquarters in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – A military source in Anbar province said, that a security force foiled an ISIS attack on the headquarters of the federal police in the province, while pointed out that the clashes resulted in killing 11 elements of the organization.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The ISIS carried out an attack by three booby-trapped vehicles on the headquarters of the federal police in the area of the 35th Kilometer west of Ramadi,” adding that, “A force from the army’s 7th brigade was able to repel the attack, while seized two booby-trapped vehicles and detonated the third one, in addition to killing 11 elements of the organization.”
