Army’s stolen tanks found by militia in Nineveh

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Free Officers Movement which was formed in the province of Nineveh to fight against ISIS stated on Monday that they have found 16 tanks and armored vehicles in a undisclosed location.

Arkan Sultan, a member in the movement, informed the press today that the movement has found 16 tanks and armored vehicles in a undisclosed location in a farm in western Mosul, noting the tanks were stolen from the Iraqi Army, last June. Sultan added “ISIS fighters fled from the center of the city of al-Mosul and we were informed of 13 tanks and armored vehicles and a number of Humvee cars that were stolen back in June.”

It is worth knowing that Iraq witnesses severe situation in terms of security especially in Nineveh and Salahuddin provinces wherein heavy clashes between Iraqi Forces and ISIS militants are ongoing.
