Beiji Mayor denies reports over kidnapped elements of NOC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of Beiji district, Abid Khalaf Hussien al-Awad, denied reports which mentioned that some elements of Nineveh Operations Command were kidnapped.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “After contacting with the deployed patrols in the districts of Shurqat and Beiji to verify the validity of such reports, they confirmed that there is nothing like that happening.”

“NOC denied these reports also,” he concluded.

Media outlets mentioned that unidentified gunmen kidnapped 20 Iraqi Army elements from Beiji and took them to Anbar province.
