Blast near popular market north of Baghdad, 2 casualties

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A police source informed that two civilians were wounded in a bomb blast near a popular market, north of Baghdad, Alsumaria News reported on Saturday.
The source said, “An improvised explosive device exploded, at noon today, near a popular market in al-Shaab area, north of Baghdad, wounding two civilians.”
“Security forces cordoned off the area of incident, while ambulances transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive needed treatment,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
The capital, Baghdad, in witnessing a surge of violence and suicide attacks, in addition to separate attacks against civilians and security forces that leave dozens of casualties.
