Bomb blast kills civilian, wounds 2 others in southern Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source within the police force said on Saturday, that one civilian had been killed and three others were injured in a bomb blast that took place in southern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Today, an explosive device has went off in the southern area of al-Rashid in southern the capital Baghdad, resulting in the death of one civilian and wounding three others.”

In a related context, the source, who requested anonymity, added, “A force from the police found the body of a man that was shot dead in the area of al-Baya southwest of Baghdad,” noting that, “The body was taken to the forensic medicine department.”
