Bomb blast kills, wounds 9 persons southeast of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Interior Ministry said Sunday, that nine people had been either killed or injured in a bomb blast that took place southeast of Baghdad.
The source, who requested anonymity, said in a brief statement received by IraqiNews.com, “An explosive device has went off near the industrial shops in the area of Basmaya southeast of Baghdad, resulting in the death of one persons and wounding eight others,” adding that, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the injured to nearby hospital for treatment and the dead to the forensic medicine authority, while carried out an inspection operation to search for the perpetrators of the attack.”
