(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source within the police force in Baghdad province said on Thursday, that two soldiers had been wounded ina bomb blast that took place in al-Mahmoudiya area in southern Baghdad.

The source reported for IraqiNews.com, “This evening, an explosive device went off targeting a patrol for the Iraqi army while passing in the village of al-Sayed Abdullah in the district of al-Mahmoudiya south of Baghdad, resulting in the injury of two soldiers.”

The source also added, “The elements of the patrol transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment,” without giving any further details.
