Car bomb kills 9, injures 15 in al-Sha’ab, Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, a source within the police force stated that, 9 people have been killed and 15 were injured in a car bombing in al-Sha’ab area in northern Baghdad.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This evening, a car bomb killed 9 people and injured 15 others in al-Sha’ab neighborhood in northern Baghdad. Security forces had arrived shortly and blockaded the area of the explosion, and ambulances took the injured ones to a near hospital while the dead victims were sent to the Forensic Medicine Authority.”

Noteworthy, Baghdad continuously witnesses several car bombings in almost all districts of the city. Many clashes between Iraqi Army troops and ISIS militants are occurring in the outskirts of the city.
