Car bombings targets PUK headquarter in eastern Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A car bomb went off targeting the headquarter of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in eastern Kirkuk on Tuesday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The car bomb went in front of the PUK office in al-Qadisiya area of eastern Kirkuk,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing a person and injuring 12 others.”

“It was decided to organize a gathering for the youth, Non-Governmental Organization and the Assemblies Union to perform a sit-in against Dijla Operation Command at Tuesday morning,” the source added.

“The security forces hurried to the explosion area blocking it and transferring the injured to the hospital for treatment as well as the dead to the morgue,” the source concluded.
