7 civilians killed, injured in Muqdadiya

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Seven civilians were killed and wounded on Wednesday due to an Improvised Explosive Device near Wajihiya Water project in northern al-Muqdadiya district.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “An IED that was emplaced near Wajihiya Water project location in Sweedi village associate with Wajihiya sub-district, 6 km to the north of Muqdadiya, exploded killing three civilians and injuring four others.”

“Security force rushed to the incident spot, then transported the injured persons to a hospital while the dead bodies were sent to the morgue,” the source added.
