Colonel assassinated in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A police officer with a Colonel rank was killed in an armed attack to the east of Mosul city.Security source told IraqiNews.com ”An armed group opened fire targeting the Colonel Abdul Salam Thanon, while he was heading towards his house in Wehda neighborhood of southeastern Mosul city.””The armed group killed the Colonel then flee to unknown destination,” the source added.”The security forces hurried to the incident scene and transported the dead body to the morgue,” the source concluded.
