(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Davutoglu said on Tuesday, that there is no need for the presence of Turkish troops in Iraq if Baghdad secured Mosul, while pointed out that Turkey is with the unity of the Iraq, accusing a third party of “igniting tensions” between Turkey and Iraq.

Davutoglu said in an interview prior to his departure to Bulgaria followed by IraqiNews.com: ”Turkey will take its own procedures for the protection of its national security,” stressing that “There is no need for the presence of Turkish troops in Iraq If Baghdad secured Mosul and the Iraqi-Turkish border.”

Davutoglu noted, “The presence of Turkish troops in Ba’shiqa Camp near Mosul does not represent a threat to Iraq, but is an example of the strong unity against terrorism,” indicating that, “Turkey is with the unity of the Iraqi territory.”

“Turkey defends the unity of Iraq more than any other party. No one can doubt in the good intentions of Turkey,” he also added.
