5 demonstrators injured in Fallujah

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Five demonstrators were injured due to clashes with Iraqi Army forces in Fallujah District of eastern Ramadi city, the center of Anbar province.

Reporter of the Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) stated on Friday “Five demonstrators were injured due to fire shooting by Iraqi Army elements who were trying to forbid the demonstrators from heading towards the sit-in yard.”

“The demonstrators controlled a check point for the IA and confiscated the weapons kept in the checkpoint after clashes where batons were used,” the reporter added, noting that “The clashes continued till the time of the report.”

It is worth to mention that Ramadi city will witness a unified prayer on Friday amid strict security procedures taken by Iraqi Army and Federal Police forces.
