Elections candidate survives assassination

Salah al-Din (IraqiNews.com)- The candidate for upcoming parliamentary election of Qala Gathering ,Ahmed Khalil al-Atawi , has been seriously injured, when terrorists opened fire at him, downtown Tikrit, central of Salah al-Din province.

Security source stated to Iraqi News “The terrorists opened fire targeting al-Atawi, near his house in al-Asri neighborhood of Tikrit, seriously injuring him.”

The source assured the security forces cordon off the attack area, as ambulance transported the injured to a nearby hospital.
