Explosion in western Baghdad kills police officer

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior informed that a police officer was killed after the vehicle he was travelling exploded in western Baghdad.
According to information shared by the source, it was revealed, “An adhesive explosive bomb placed under a policeman’s vehicle exploded this evening, while it was passing through al-Ghazaliyah area in western Baghdad. The officer was killed on the spot.”
“Security forces rushed to the area and transferred the body to the forensic department and security personnel cordon off the area and barred anybody from approaching it.”
