(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, Salahuddin Provincial Council announced the launch of a force of 600 fighters from the sons of al-Alam district to liberate their areas after finishing their training in Samarra camps, indicating that the force will join the Volunteer Forces (al-Hashd al-Sha’bi).

The head of the Council Ahmed Karim said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The provincial council sent at dawn today the heros of al-Alam district after finsihing their training in Samarra camps to al-Alam east of Tikrit to liberate it from ISIS.”

For his part, the head of the Security Committee in the Council of Salahuddin, Jassim Jabara informed IraqiNews.com, “The fighters of al-Alam district are fully prepared to liberate their district from these groups,” noting that, ” They are going to the battlefields equipped with all military equipment required.”

He added that a number of 600 fighters from al-Alam district will participate in this operation backed by the Volunteer Fighters.
