Security forces seize weapons and equipment cache in Hīt
Weapons and equipment found in a cache in Hit District.
Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Sunday, finding a cache containing weapons, explosives and equipment in Hīt District in Anbar.
The directorate said in a press statement, “Security forces discovered a cache containing equipment, weapons, explosive belts, sniper gears, mortar shells and C4 explosives, in al-Bakr neighborhood in Hīt District.”
“The cache was used by the sleeper cells of the Islamic State group, to provide the needed equipment and weapons to attack security forces and innocent civilians,” the statement added.
