France launchs its first air strike against ISIS in Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) Chief of Staff of the French army announced Thursday, launching France’s first air strike against ISIS sites in the city of Tikrit.
The spokesman for the Chief of Staff of the French army said, “We launched on Wednesday evening an air strike in the framework of the US-led international coalition operation in Tikrit.”
“This was France’s first participation in the attack on Tikrit,” he added.
The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced on Wednesday, that the US-led international coalition was ordered to strike led by the United the ISIS group in Tikrit.
