(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad  -A source within the Iraqi police announced on Thursday, that unidentified gunmen have burned the Investment Sunni Endowment building and about five houses north of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Unidentified gunmen set fire to the Investment Sunni Endowment building and about five nearby homes and a number of cars in the district of al-Adhamiya north of Baghdad, on the back of publishing a rumor among the visitors of Imam Kadhim about the presence of an explosive belt.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “This led to material damage without causing any human casualties,” adding that, “The security force cordoned off the area completely.”

It is noteworthy that mean millions of Muslims annually visit Kadhimiya city north of the capital Baghdad to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kazim, while the security forces take strict measures and deliberately cut some roads and streets to preserve the safety of visitors from terrorist attacks.
