Gunmen executes armed attack targeting Arbaeen pilgrims in Babel

Babel (IraqiNews.com) Gunmen riding unnumbered car executed an armed attack targeting Karbala pilgrims on the external road in Babel province.

Security source told Iraqi News “Unidentified gunmen carried out armed attack targeting Arbaeen pilgrims on the external road in Babel.”

“The security forces pursued the gunmen but they left their car and fled on foot through the nearby villages to unknown destination,” the source added.

“The security force discovered four mortar shells inside the car where they were intending to fire them on the pilgrims,” he concluded.
