Gunmen kidnap officer from his home in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the police announced on Thursday, that unidentified gunmen kidnapped a colonel officer working in the Rescue Directorate, after storming his house east of the capital Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “unidentified gunmen wearing military uniforms stormed today the home of a colonel in the Rescue Directorate in Amin area east of Baghdad,” noting that, “the gunmen kidnapped the officer and took him to an unknown destination.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the gunmen stole the vehicle of the colonel, as well as his pistol, a sum of money, his phone and a laptop computer.”
