Interior Ministry bans demonstrations in Baghdad for security reasons

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Interior decided not to authorize any demonstration in Baghdad for security reasons.

Informed source at the Ministry told Iraqi News “Intelligence information reported that there are armed groups intend to target the demonstrations and that the clergymen in Anbar province issued fatwa prohibiting moving the current demonstrations to Baghdad.”
