IP officer injured southern Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An officer of the Federal Police was seriously injured when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded to the south of Mosul.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The IED, which was emplaced on a roadside in Thawra neighborhood of southern Mosul, exploded, on Wednesday, while the Federal Police patrol was passing through the area,” noting that “The explosion resulted in injuring an officer with 1st Lieutenant rank.”

”The ambulances rushed to the explosion scene and transported the injured officer to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.
