 Iraqi army foils ISIS attack on Baghdadi District, says al-Jazeerah Operations

(IraqiNews.com) The commander of al-Jazeerah and al-Badiyah Operations Command, Major General Ali Ibrahim Daboun, said on Friday, that the security forces repelled an attack by the ISIS organization on the defensive lines of al-Baghdadi District west of the city of Ramadi.

Daboun stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A force from the army’s 7th brigade backed by the First Martyr Brigades, know as Buraq forces, were able to repel the attack of the ISIS on the defensive lines of the security forces in the district of al-Baghdadi (90 km west of Ramadi).”

He pointed out, “The clashes broke out between the security forces and elements of the ISIS, resulting in the death of five militants from the organization, including a sniper.”
