Iraqi army kills, wounds 10 ISIS elements in proactive operation northeast of Baqubah

(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – The commander of Dijla Operations Command, Maj. Gen. Muzhar al-Azzawi, announced on Tuesday, that 10 ISIS elements had been either killed or injured during a proactive military operation northeast of Baqubah.
Azzawi said in a brief statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A force from the Iraqi army, in coordination with the army aviation, conducted a proactive operation in the vicinity of Hamrin Lake (70 km northeast of Baqubah) and succeeded in destructing a camp belonging to the ISIS,” pointing out that, “The operation, which was based on accurate intelligence, resulted in killing 8 [ISIS] militants and wounding 2 others, in addition to destroying a vehicle that was carrying a machine gun.”
