Iraqi army retakes al-Ankoor area, southern Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The head of Khalidiya District Council announced Sunday, that the Iraqi army forces had managed to liberate the area of al-Ankoor in southern Ramadi.
The president of Khalediya District Council, Ali Dawood, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The army forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia fighters had manged to liberate the area of al-Ankoor (20 km south of Ramadi) after expelling all the ISIS elements from the area,” noting that, “The army forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi have held the ground in al-Ankoor.”
