Iraqi forces deactivated 37 explosives in northern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source in Salahuddin province announced that the security forces had managed to deactivate 37 explosives in northern Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews: “An army troop from the 9th Brigade has managed to deactivate 37 explosive devices in northern Tikrit.” He also said hundreds of families had fled north on the back of heavy clashes between Iraqi forces and ISIS militants in Biji, 40 km north of Tikrit.
