(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – On Monday, Diyali Police Command announced, that the security forces had managed to destroy a secret military camp belonging to ISIS in northeast of Baqubah, noting that the camp contained a cemetery for top ISIS leaders and elements.

The Commander of Diyali Police Foces, Jasim al-Saadi, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, a joint force consisting of army troops as well as local police elements destroyed a secret camp belonging to ISIS in the area of Hamrin, located south of al-Saidiyah District,” pointing out that, “The camp included workshops to manufacture improvised explosive devices (IEDs), a number of hideouts and a cemetery that contained 17 burials.”

“According to intelligence received by the police, the cemetery contained the remains of a number of ISIS leaders and elements whom had been killed during confrontations and clashes with the security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia in the past few months,” al-Saadi added.

The district of al-Saidiyah is located 55 km northeast of Baqubah.
