Iraqi forces kill 7 ISIS militants in southern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source in Samarra Operations Command stated, that 7 ISIS elements have been killed in clashes with the security forces in southern Tikrit.
The source informed IraqiNews, “Security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters clashed with ISIS militants in the area of al-Rasasi in the district of Samarra, located 40 km in south of Tikrit,” noting that, “The clashes resulted in killing 7 elements of the group.”
The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “The areas of Tikrit and Albu-Ajil have also witnessed an intensive artillery fire that targeted headquarters for the ISIS group militants.”
