Iraqi forces kill 9 ISIS militants in artillery strike near Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that nine elements of the ISIS group have been killed in an artillery strike by the security forces in west and south of Tikrit.
The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “Security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters have conducted an artillery strike on headquarters for the ISIS group militants in the areas in west and south of Tikrit, pointing out that, “The operation resulted in killing 9 elements of the ISIS group and destroying two vehicles that belonged to them.”
“Security forces are advancing to retake the areas in south of al-Door, located in southeast of Tikrit,” the source added.
