Iraqi forces kill 9 ISIS militants in south of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source in Salahuddin province stated that 9 ISIS militants have been killed in an operation in south of Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “Abrams tanks from the 2nd battalion of the 34th brigade have killed 9 ISIS militants who attempted to enter al-Roufiyat area in west of Balad district, wearing explosive belts.”

Noteworthy, Salahuddin province witnesses constant clashes between Iraqi forces and the ISIS militants who have seized large expanses of territories in the province.
