Iraqi forces liberate 8 villages surrounding al-Saidiya

Diyali (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the head of Diyali police force Gen. Officer Gamil al-Shamri announced that the Iraqi security forces liberated 8 villages in the outskirts of al-Saidiya district.

Al-Shamri informed IraqiNews, “A joint force between the Iraqi soldiers and tribal fighters managed to liberate 8 villages surrounding al-Saidiya district, 60 km northeast of Baqubah. Army special units removed more than 90 explosive mines.”
