Iraqi forces liberate al-Majr area in al-Anbar

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, al-Habaniya police force in al-Anbar province announced it liberated al-Majr area in eastern Ramadi from ISIS militants and had the area secured by Iraqi forces.

The head of al-Habaniya police Col. Majid al-Fahdawy informed IraqiNews, “A joint force from the police and the army accompanied by tribal fighters managed to retake al-Majr area in south of al-Habaniya, 30 km east of Ramadi. ISIS militants retreated after Iraqi forces controlled the area with support from the people of the district.”
