Iraqi forces repel attack on eastern Haditha
Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, the head of Haditha district Abdul-Hakim al-Jughaifi said, that the security forces have foiled an ISIS attempt to attack the eastern side of the district.
Al-Jughaifi informed IraqiNews, “A security force backed by local police elements and volunteer fighters from the tribes and al-Hashed al-Sha’abi forces have managed to repel an ISIS attack on Albu Hayat area of eastern Haditha.”
“The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing 8 ISIS elements and wounding dozens of other militants,”
“Security forces have also inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS ranks in equipment,” he added.
