(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Sunday, Dijla Operations Command announced, that the Iraqi joint forces managed to kill 73 ISIS elements and regain control over Ajil oil field in eastern Tikrit.

The commander of Dijla Operations Command, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir al-Zaidi, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, violent clashes between the joint forces and ISIS elements erupted after ISIS attacked Ajil oil field, located in eastern Tikrit,” pointing out that, “The clashes resulted in killing 73 ISIS fighters including a number of foreign elements.”

“Three security elements were killed and 13 others were hurt during the confrontations,” he added.
