Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) We Are Coming, Nineveh Operations Command announced on Wednesday, that security forces retook the road linking Mosul to Kasak.

Commander of Operations, Lt. Gn. Abdel Amir Yarallah, said in a press statement, “Troops of the army’s 9th armored brigade, al-Abbas Brigade and al-Imam Brigade managed to recapture Mosul-Kasak road, near Tal Afar.”

“By recapturing this road, security troops isolated the western side of Mosul from Tal Afar,” Yarallah further added.

Also today, security forces were able to liberate al-Sabuniyah Train Station, on the road between western Mosul and Tal Afar, as well as liberating the neighborhoods of al-Mansour and al-Shuhada al-Thaniya, in western Mosul.
