 Iraqi forces take 11 ISIS hostages, liberate some areas in Salahuddin

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Samarra said Monday, that the Iraqi security forces have liberated some areas in Salahuddin province and detained 11 elements of the ISIS group during fierce battles in the district.

The source stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “The Security forces alongside al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters and residents of Samarra city celebrated the liberation of some areas in Salahuddin province by firing guns in the air,” pointing out that, “The forces have wandered the streets of Samarra with tens of vehicles, carrying 11 ISIS captives and dozens of dead.”

“Hamed al-Sabae’, the Wali (ISIS governor) in the district of al-Door was among the dead,” the source also added.
