 Iraqi forces liberate Albu Haaj Hills south of Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The Head of Amiriyat al-Fallujah Police, Maj. Arif al-Janabi, announced on Saturday the liberation of the area of Albu Daaj Hills west of the district, while pointed out to the killing of eight elements of the ISIS and one fighter from the clans during the confrontations.

Janabi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The joint military operation by the army and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi as well as the sons of al-Ameriyat and al-Ameriytat police was launched this morning to liberate the area of Albu Daaj Hills west of the district (23 km south of Fallujah),” noting that, “Ameriyat al-Fallujah is always exposed to the bombardment carried out by ISIS from this region.”

The statement added, “Our forces had managed to liberate the entire area and the battle is ongoing against ISIS,” pointing out that, “Eight elements of ISIS had been killed; in addition to one martyr from the sons of the clans within al-Hashed.”
