 Iraqi police elements killed, wounded in bomb blast south of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday, that five police elements were either killed or wounded in a bomb blast targeted their patrol south of Baghdad.

The source said in a brief statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded, this morning, near a police patrol while passing in Iin Arab Jabour Village south of Baghdad, killing one police personnel and wounding four others, in addition to causing material damage to their vehicle.”

The source, on condition of anonymity, added: “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while carried out a raid to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”
