(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – On Sunday the commander of al-Jazeerah and al-Badiyah Operations Major General Ali Ibrahim Daboun announced, that the Iraqi security forces had managed to foil a suicide attack by ISIS west of the city of Ramadi.

Major General Ali Ibrahim Daboun stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A force belonging to al-Jazeerah and al-Badiyah Operation, with coordination with clan fighters from Haditha, had managed to foil a suicide attack by a booby-trapped vehicle that targeted the security forces in the area of al-Amiriyah east of Haditha District (160 km west of Ramadi),” noting that, “The force was able to destroy the vehicle and kill the suicide bomber before reaching his target; without any human casualties in the ranks of the security forces and clan fighters.”
