(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The governor of Nineveh Province, Nofel Hamadi al-Sultan, announced on Thursday liberating four villages in Makhmour region as part of the liberation operations of the province, while pointed out that the operations will target the ISIS supply lines in addition to securing the vicinity of Makhmour.

Sultan said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, Iraqi army as well as Peshmerga forces and al-Hashed al-A’asha’ri, with aerial support from the international coalition aviation, launched military operations in Makhmour region,” pointing out that, “The villages which have been liberated are Kadila, Karmardi, Kharbrdan and al-Nasr,” adding that, “The battle is still ongoing in the village of Muhana.”

The statement also added, “The operations are targeting the ISIS supply lines and securing the vicinity of Makhmour.”
